HARRISON — Evart (5-7) dropped this nonleague game on Feb. 6 to Harrison (6-5). Harrison led 31-18 at halftime.

Leading scorers for Evart were Kelci Elder (16), Hannah Wetters (11) and Skyler Baumgardner (5).

“We played well for the first 14 minutes and lost track of what we were doing well the last two minutes of the half,” coach Paul Higgins said. “In the third quarter, turnovers and lack of execution offensively hurt us. One thing that I can say is that we played hard until the final buzzer.”

Evart lost 47-29 at Farwell on Feb. 5. Farwell led 22-13 at halftime. Elder had 12 points and Kara Henry five.

“We stayed in the game defensively from the first 14 minutes of the game, but we had too many missed defensive assignments in the last two minutes of the first half and the third quarter,” Higgins said.

Evart is home Thursday against Houghton Lake.
