Hundreds of area residents and visitors gathered at Evart’s Riverside Park for the annual celebration of the Independence Day Party In The Park. As the parade was setting off on Main Street, the Fourth of July incense was rising from the grilling pits where Evart Masons and Lions were working hard to roast up chicken for all comers. There was music throughout the afternoon supplied by a group of Evart talents, and games for kids to play while mom and dad feasted. The Evart Fire Department team set up a HUGE “sprinkler” to cool things off, which quickly became the most popular spot in the park! With strawberry shortcake, frozen ice cones, chicken and all the fixins’, great music, fun games, it was a party to be remembered.
