Participants in the first Osceola Leadership Summit were hard, and enjoyably at ‘work’ last week, during the first session of the leadership forum. Gathering at SpringHill Camps outside of Evart, the nine members of the group used a two-day session to get to know each other better, set goals for the group and themselves as individuals, and practice skills that better demonstrated what it takes to be an effective leader. On day two of the session, those taking part toured the county to get an expansive overview of where they live and what there is to offer in Osceola County.

The next session will be held in a one-day meeting in October.

Above, members of the Leadership Summit’s inaugural “class” take part in exercises designed to enhance cooperative skills and demonstrate the need for collective planning.
