REED CITY — Carrying homemade streamers and noisemakers, children filed down Higbee Street and through downtown Reed City on Wednesday, April 25, during the Osceola County Children’s Parade.
Hundreds of youngsters marched, skipped or danced throughout the processional and waved to their families as they passed. The line of children looped on Upton Avenue before returning to the starting point, G.T. Norman Elementary. The parade, coordinated by the Mecosta-Osceola Great Start Collaborative and other local organizations, was in a celebration of the Month of the Young Child, which continued through the weekend.
