REED CITY — The following cases were heard this week in Osceola County’s 77th District Court. All cases might not be reported.

  • Edward Michael Novak, 41, of Shelby Township, pleaded guilty to one count of operating a vehicle while visibly impaired and one count of transporting an open container of alcohol in a vehicle. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, with one day credit and will be on probation for two years. The vehicle used in the offense will be immobilized or forfeited.
  • Timothy Charles Jacobson Jr., 23, of Evart, pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm while under the influence. He was sentenced to time served.
  • Cory Jacob-Adam Smith, 27, of Reed City, pleaded guilty to failure to stop at the scene of a property damage accident. He was ordered to pay all fines and court costs.
  • Steven Joseph Smith, 31, of Marion, pleaded guilty to driving with a suspended license. He was ordered to pay all fines and court costs.
  • n Aaron Caleb Burns, 21, of Reed City, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to time served and will be on probation for one year. He also must complete a Marijuana 101 online course.
  • Katina Louise Gostlin, 34, of Evart, pleaded no contest to embezzlement as an agent or trustee. She was sentenced to time served and will be on probation for one year. She must complete an economic crime program and 24 hours of community service. She must pay $268 in restitution to Evart Youth Wrestling.
  • Jason Fredrick Williams, 32, of Marion, pleaded guilty to attempted possession of Alpha-PVP. He was sentenced to time served and will be on probation for 18 months. He must complete outpatient treatment to be determined after completing an alcohol and drug assessment.
  • Gerald Junior Rice, 23, of Evart, pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated. He was sentenced to five days in jail, with three days credit and will be on probation for one year. He was given the option to complete 16 hours of community service in lieu of jail time.
  • Michael Ray Duncan, 35, of Tustin, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while visibly impaired. He was sentenced to time served and must complete 32 hours of community service. He also must complete the alcohol highway safety education program.
  • Alexandria Marie Mitchell, 18, of Evart, pleaded guilty to one count of operating a vehicle while visibly impaired and one count of transporting an open container of alcohol in a vehicle. She was sentenced to five days in jail, with one day credit. She must complete the alcohol highway safety education program. She was given the option to complete 32 hours of community service in lieu of jail time.
  • Curtis Robert Hoppough, 28, of Reed City, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle without insurance. He was sentenced to time served.
  • Tony Lynn Wirth,50, of Hersey, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while visibly impaired. He was sentenced to time served.
  • Brice Kenneth Crawford, 44, of Evart, pleaded guilty to domestic violence. He was sentenced to time served and will be on probation for one year. He must complete 24 hours of community service and an alternatives to violence class.
  • Rex Duwayne Opper, 62, of Marion, pleaded guilty to drunk and disorderly behavior. He was ordered to pay all fines and court costs.
  • Jason Harley Blades, 37, of Reed City, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace. He was ordered to pay all fines and court costs.
