Osceola County community events calendar

OSCEOLA COUNTY -- The following is a list of community events happening in and around the area. If you have an event you would like posted on the calendar, or if any information is incorrect, contact cathie.crew@pioneergroup.com:

• The Reed City Senior Center at 219 E. Todd Ave., is now open. The following events will be offered weekly: Wednesdays at noon - Fun Bingo; Thursdays at noon- Euchre; Friday - doors open at 10:30 a.m., Early Bird at 11:30 a.m. and Regular Bingo at noon. The first Wednesday of each month there will be a potluck at 11:30 a.m. For further information regarding activities or volunteering call (231) 832-1136.

• The Evart Farmers' Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturdays, through October 9, at 200 Main St., Evart.

• The New Reed City Community Market will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sundays, at the Reed City Depot, 200 N. Chestnut St. New vendors are welcome. For more information visit the Reed City Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.

• The Reed City Depot will host the Cedar Creek Band from 6-9 p.m. the second and fourth Thursday of each month through September.

• Praise in the Park, a free family event will take place at 6 p.m., at Rambadt Park, every Sunday evening through Labor Day weekend.

• New Horizons Humane Society will be at the Family Farm & Home store, 4941 Park St., Reed City, every other Saturday for cat adoptions. For more information call (813) 970-2680.

• The Reed City Great American Crossroads Celebration will take place Aug. 19-22 in downtown Reed City. Events include softball tournament, kickball, craft and vendor booths, kiddie rides, a 5K run/walk, a pet show, party in the park and many other family friendly activities. • The Crossroads Car Club 16th Annual GACC car show will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Aug. 21 in downtown Reed City. Registration is at 9 a.m. The fee is $15. Judging will begin at noon with an awards presentation at 2 p.m. For more information call (231) 598-1031.
