Osceola County community events calendar

OSCEOLA COUNTY — The following is a list of community events happening in and around the area. If you have an event you would like posted on the calendar, or if any information is incorrect, contact cathie.crew@pioneergroup.com:

• Mid Michigan Community Action will host an Osceola County neighborhood meeting at noon, June 16, via Zoom. To participate log on at zoom.us/j/7177862241. For more information visit mmcaa.org/can.

• The Reed City city council will meet at 7 p.m., June 21, at the city hall council chambers. For more information, visit reedcity.org or call 231- 832-2245.

• The Evart city council will meet at 8 p.m., June 21, in the community room at the Evart Fairgrounds, 101 Recreation Ave., Evart. For more information visit evart.org or call 231-734-2181.

• Ebel’s General Store in Reed City will have a soft opening on June 22. Store hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday. A grand opening event will take place on July 5.

• Reed City Disc Golf course contractor Steve Hedstrom is looking for volunteers to help clear the course area from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on June 26. A sneak-peak tournament is tentatively scheduled for July 10, with installation of equipment on August 14 and 21, and a grand opening tournament on Aug. 28. • The Evart Farmers’ Market will is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Saturdays through October 9, at 200 main St., Evart.

• The Reed City Depot will host the Cedar Creek Band from 6-9 p.m. the second and fourth Thursday of each month through September.

• Praise in the Park, a free family event will take place at 6 p.m., at Rambadt Park, every Sunday evening through Labor Day weekend.

• The City of Evart will be holding the annual City Wide Clean Up from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., June 26 and June 27. There will be dumpsters available at the wastewater treatment plant, at 611 W. Tenth Street. Proof of residency will be required. This can be a water bill, tax bill, or driver's license. The following materials will NOT be accepted: yard waste, construction materials, demolition debris, concrete, liquids, paints, pesticides, chemicals, and tires. Visit evart.org for updates.

• Rose Lake Youth Camp will offer free day camp for children and adults with special needs June 23-25. This is a great opportunity for to spend 3 days enjoying nature, crafts, non-competitive group games, water activities and more. • Barryton Softball Days will take place Aug 7 & 8. $500 winner prizes will be given out each day. Entry fee is $175 per team. For more information call 231-679-0128.
