• The Osceola County tire clean-up 2021 will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., May 27 and 28, and from 8 a.m. to noon, May 29, at the Highland Township Hall in Marion. No forestry or airplane tires, no weighted tires, no tires over 4 feet in height or 12 inches wide. Tires must be clean and dry. If you have more than 10 tires call (231) 631-9970 for authorization.
• The Reed City Depot will host the Cedar Creek Band from 6-9 p.m. the second and fourth Thursday of each month through September.
• Reed City Disc Golf course contractor Steve Hedstrom is looking for volunteers to help clear the course area. Clean up days are scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on June 5, 19, and 26. A sneak-peak tournament is tentatively scheduled for July 10, with installation of equipment on Aug. 14 and 21, and a grand opening tournament on Aug. 28. • The Sons of Service inaugural cornhole tournament will take place at 11 a.m., June 12, at Hawkins Park, 7860 E. 17 Mile Rd., Reed City. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. Two-person teams are asked to donate a $20 registration fee. Prize will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Snacks will be available for a donation, and there will a 50/50 drawing. BYOB.
• Rose Lake Youth Camp will offer free day camp for children and adults with special needs June 23-25. This is a great opportunity for to spend 3 days enjoying nature, crafts, non-competitive group games, water activities and more. • Reed City Food Pantry: Will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays in the garage behind St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 831 S. Chestnut St., Reed City. Contact: (231) 215-6996. NOTE: The pantry will be closed June-August. Last day of service will be May 27. The pantry will reopen in early September. For emergency needs, call (231) 215-6996.
• The Reed City Great American Crossroads Celebration committee is looking for volunteers to help plan the event. If you can help please reach out to a board member, comment on the Chamber of Commerce Facebook post, send a message through messenger, or email gaccreedcity@gmail.com.
• The 2021 Park season has opened in Evart. Camping will be limited to primitive camping only at Riverside East and no camping at Riverside West. Pavilions can be reserved by calling (231) 734-2181.
