Osceola County agriculture student awarded OSU scholarship

STILLWATER, OK – Morgan Cook, a Reed City, Michigan, student was honored by Oklahoma State University at the recent College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Scholarships and Awards Banquet.

The scholarship recipients were officially recognized during the banquet where CASNR presented approximately $600,000 in scholarships and awards to more than 300 students. These scholarships and awards are part of more than $1.4 million presented to OSU students by the college and its academic departments for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Cook is the recipient of a $1,000 Joseph Fleming Memorial Continuing Scholarship. She is a junior majoring in agricultural communications and animal science. A 2013 graduate of Reed City High School, she is the daughter of John and Rodnie Cook.

Cook is on the Dean’s Honor Roll and a member of OSU Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow.

“It is an honor to work with the bright students in CASNR and to showcase their talent through scholarships,” said Thomas G. Coon, dean for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.

“We deeply appreciate the contributions of our loyal and true alumni and friends. Their generous support makes scholarships and awards possible and I know the students and their families are very grateful for the opportunities provided by this funding.”
