OLAH names People's Choice awards

Area art lovers who attended the fifth annual Osceola League for Arts and Humanities Art Show held earlier this month at Kettunen Center cast their ballots for outstanding exhibit, choosing among 50 works of fine art by local artists.League secretary Renee Tolgo announced the winners. First place went to Betty Harrington of Lucas for her oil painting “Early Morning.” Harrington also works in watercolors, charcoal and ink.Tolgo took second place with her striking 20-inch-by-12-inch stained glass work “Red Pickup Truck,” an intricate piece that required many hours to plan and complete.Krysta Leutz from Evart won third place with her photograph “Traveling Guy.” Her work also includes portrait and event photos.The league studio and gift shop is at 207 N.
