OCCF annual auction set for May 4

EVART — Officials with the Osceola County Community Foundation are gearing up for their biggest event of the year: the 23rd annual auction set to take place Thursday, May 4.

This year’s auction will begin at 5 p.m. at the community building at the Osceola County 4-H/FFA Fairgrounds in Evart.

Participants will have the opportunity to start the evening by playing some raffle games and bidding on silent auction items. Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available before dinner.

Dinner for the annual auction is catered by Pere Marquette Bistro and Catering and is sponsored by Chemical Bank and Lake-Osceola State Bank.

Similar to last year, the auction will have games designed for people to get up and walk around. People will be able to bid on silent auction items and enjoy dinner together.

“We want to continue in the direction that we started last year” said Larry Emig, auction committee chair. “We want the auction to be as interactive as possible and engaging to the people who attend.”

This year’s auction items include a package to cross Lake Michigan on the Badger, a stay at Black Star Farms, and Vera Bradley items. There are many options for people to bid on both the live and silent auctions.

“The Community Foundation auction is an event that shouldn’t be missed,” said Emig.

Tickets for the auction are $25. They can be purchased from any Community Foundation trustee or at the Community Foundation offices, located at at 200 N. Chestnut St., in Reed City.
