REED CITY — No students were hurt during an accident that took place between a school bus and car on Friday following the end of the school day.

Reed City Area Public Schools Superintendent Tim Webster placed an announcement about the incident on the school's website and on its Facebook page.

"The collision took place in front of the high school, on the curve by the football field. No students on the bus were injured," Webster said in the release. "Students were moved off the bus, onto another and taken home. The parent driving the car was not injured."

Two students from the high school and middle school were taken to the hospital and released, he added.
