New parade route, events surround Reed City homecoming
REED CITY — Family-friendly events will take place during this year's homecoming celebration for Reed City Area Public Schools.
Activities include a powder puff game at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23. Also that day, judging will take place for the downtown businesses that have decorated their storefronts in homecoming flair. The top three winners receive free ads during the football game.
On Friday, Sept. 26, the homecoming parade will begin at 4 p.m. and travel down a new parade route. This year, participants will walk east on Church Street, north on Chestnut, west on Upton Avenue and south on Higbee Street. RCAPS supporters are encouraged to attend the event and cheer on each float, walker and school team.
The homecoming game against the Grant Tigers will begin at 7 p.m. at the football field Friday evening.
