REED CITY — Mosaic Potash Hersey, one of the nation’s leading suppliers of phosphates and potash, recently gave a $20,000 donation to the Bringing Hope Closer to Home Capital Campaign for the Susan P. Wheatlake Regional Center. The gift will help fund the $8.9 million center, which will open this summer, bringing all phases of cancer treatment under one roof.

“The entire team at Mosaic Potash Hersey is honored to be a part of this project to provide a first class cancer treatment center to the community,” said Karl Tomaszewski, Mosaic site manager. “During our tour (of the facility under construction), we could see that extensive planning has been done to provide the best possible experience for the patients receiving treatment. It’s exciting to see the dream of a new treatment center become a reality.” The Susan P. Wheatlake Regional Cancer Center is currently under construction and is set to open this summer.

With $605,000 left to raise, there are still opportunities available to help reach the $2.4 million goal. For more information on how to donate, contact the Spectrum Health Foundation at (231) 832-7184 or visit give.spectrumhealth.org/reed-city.
