Mini Money Bash and Ball event benefits Wheatlake Regional Cancer Center

EVART — Local residents can help support patients in need of cancer care by attending the Mini Money Bash and Ball Benefit, which will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. on Saturday at the Osceola County 4-H FFA Fairgrounds Community Building.

All proceeds will benefit the Susan P. Wheatlake Regional Cancer Center.

“We feel (the cancer center) is a wonderful thing to have in the area, so we wanted to do whatever we could to help those involved,” said Evart Chamber of Commerce President Connie Douglas.

The Evart Chamber of Commerce, Evart Moose Lodge, Evart Car Club, Evart Business and Professional Women and local resident John Keel collaborated to make the Mini Money Bash and Ball Benefit a success.

“Evart is a community that likes to work together and help each other in times of need,” Douglas added.

Valet parking, live music, food, a cash bar, games, a silent auction, 50/50 raffles and more will make up the event. The highlight of the night is expected to be the Cash Bash, which is a reverse raffle drawing. Four hundred tickets will be drawn in descending order, with winners of cash and gift prizes scattered throughout. The last drawn ticket of the night, however, will win $500.

Douglas is calling the bash and ball benefit a “classy affair.”

“I’m looking forward to meeting new people and having a fun, relaxing evening,” she said. “I hope not only local residents attend, but people from surrounding counties as well, because they will also benefit from the cancer center.”

Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased at Britz Realty in Evart. Attendees must be at least 21 years old and are encouraged to arrive in dress-casual attire.
