EVART — Members of Michigan Road Riders Motorcycle Club are seeking participants for a benefit ride in Osceola County on Saturday to help an infant battle cancer.

Eight-month-old Winter Minzey was born with rhabdomyosarcoma, which is a rare form of cancer that targets the body’s soft tissue. For Winter, it has appeared in her nose, throat and neck.

In addition to having a feeding tube, she must go to Grand Rapids each week for injections. Every 21 days she needs three days of chemotherapy as part of a nine-to 12-month chemo plan.

The fee to ride is $30 and bikers will meet at noon at East Riverside Park in Evart. The trek is about 75 miles and will begin and end at the park. Following the ride, refreshments and a 50/50 raffle will take place. Proceeds from the event will benefit the family to help with medical expenses.
