REED CITY — Harrell Management, the owners of several local McDonalds restaurants, has donated breakfast to Eagle Village on Thanksgiving for many years now. Larry Lounsbery, Operations Manager for Harrell Management shared,” McDonald’s is founded on community and giving back. We are very thankful for the work that Eagle Village does every day to bring hope and future for today’s youth and tomorrow’s leaders. We are happy and proud to be able to serve breakfast to the staff and residents at this premiere facility every Thanksgiving!”

The relationship between Eagle Village and Harrell Management, McDonalds and Ronald McDonald House Charities began in 2005 when the first of four residential homes at Eagle Village were updated and remodeled by Ronald McDonald House Charity funds. Since that time, the remaining three homes were remodeled by RMHC, Mr. Lounsbery has partnered with Eagle Village by allowing information on life-changing programs for families to be advertised in his stores, providing coupons and free coffee for Village guests and donating Thanksgiving breakfast for young people who have no families to go home to over the holidays.

This year, volunteers Jim and Delores Boyd of Canadian Lakes made the journey over to Reed City to make the pick-up and delivery of the meal. The Boyds met Pastor Jeremiah Ketchum of Eagle Village at their home church in Remus. Eagle Village is a non-profit agency providing Intervention Services, Residential Treatment, Foster Care, Adoption Services and Camps for all counties in Michigan.
