McDonald's announced new owners at Reed City location
Matt and Lori Schulz to focus on community involvement, employees
REED CITY – McDonald's recently announced that Matt and Lori Schulz are the new owner/operators of the Reed City McDonald’s restaurants.
The Michigan natives plan to leverage their extensive McDonald’s experience to bring a broader, more diverse customer engagement to the restaurants.
“Our guests in Evart, Gladwin and Harrison will see the difference we bring to our restaurants,” said Matt Schulz. “We can offer our guests a variety of new avenues to enjoy their dining experience."
"From walk-up where and when that is possible, to mobile ordering and curbside delivery, we are one of the leaders in bringing those processes to our restaurants," he added.
Lori Schulz became highly skilled in the food service industry while working at a banquet hall as she was growing up.
Matt Schulz, who started working at McDonald’s when he was 14, is a third-generation McDonald’s owner/operator – following in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps.
“We let our crew know they’re doing a great job,” said Lori Schulz. “We treat our employees like we would want to be treated and provide them with opportunities for advancement. We offer tuition re-imbursement through McDonald’s Archway’s to Opportunity program and career paths to management.”
The couple is also committed to being involved in the community.
“We are all about McDonald’s programs that benefit local programs,” Matt Schulz said. “We want those programs in need in our communities to feel free to approach us and we will see what we can do to help."
"We embrace the opportunity to help in the communities we do business in. We don’t just talk about that, we deliver," he added.
“I’m very proud of what Matt and I do,” Lori Schulz continued. “We’re a great team.”
