Mast sentenced to 30 years in prison for child porn charge
GRAND RAPIDS – Andrea Marie Mast, 32, of Evart, was sentenced to serve 30 years in prison for producing images of child pornography, U.S. Attorney Donald A. Davis announced today. The Honorable Janet T. Neff, U.S. District Judge, presided over the sentencing and also ordered Mast to pay $6,780 in restitution.
Upon release, Mast will serve the rest of her life on supervised release.
In imposing the sentence, Neff expressed dismay, “I’m almost at a loss for words – our kids look to us for safety. There is no excuse.”
“As a society we have a responsibility to protect our children.”
