Marion Baptist Church hosts Ladies' Spring Luncheon on May 10

MARION — Continuing a tradition of nearly 30 years, Marion Baptist Church will host its annual Ladies’ Spring Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 10.

Over the years, hundreds of local women have attended the luncheons and enjoyed uplifting speakers, songs, music and good food.

Women from Marion and surrounding communities traditionally get a group together inviting their mother, sisters, daughters, granddaughters, friends, neighbors and coworkers to join them for an enjoyable spring outing.

The women’s church ministry group, BYKOTA, sponsors the annual event. BYKOTA is an acronym formed from the words Be Ye Kind One To Another from Ephesians 4:32.

The guest speaker this year is Chris Seering from Evart. Seering’s presentation, “Where Is Your Compass Pointed?” offers women guidance for finding and following a spiritual direction and purpose in their lives. Other program highlights include music and songs.

Seering is a Christian wife, mother, nurse, product designer, speaker and author who enjoys sharing her faith journey with others. She is also an enthusiastic member of Illuminovelists, a local writers’ group.

Following the program, luncheon will be served and all who attend are invited to join in the fellowship and fun including challenging and entertaining quizzes, games and prizes.

There is no charge for the luncheon which is a gift to the women of the area from Marion Baptist Church. Advance reservations are not required.

Marion Baptist Church is located at 19909 40th Ave. in Marion. For further information call Peggy Hoard at (231) 631-9970.
