MSU Extension offers health insurance education

OSCEOLA COUNTY — Michigan State University Extension is providing health insurance education again during this enrollment season.

The health insurance landscape has changed dramatically in the past several years, and many Michigan residents are impacted about making an affordable health insurance decision. Whether you’re a business owner, self-employed, single or have a family, there are new rules to know and resources you should be aware of.

MSU Extension is hosting weekly webinars so people can learn more about changes in the health insurance marketplace, how to select a health insurance plan and what resources are available during the current open enrollment period. With the Smart Choice Health Insurance curriculum, MSU Extension will help people understand the steps you need to take to make the best possible decision when choosing an affordable health insurance plan for yourself or your family. There is no registration and no fee for attending these webinars held from noon to 2 p.m. or from 6 to 8 p.m. on Mondays until mid-February 2015. Smart Choice Consumer Workbooks are available at your local extension office or for download at
