REED CITY — All month long, the Reed City Public Library is offering a number of events to help its patrons of all ages gather together for fun and literacy.

Events include:

● Teen Advisory Board meeting at 5:30 p.m. on May 9, which is open to all teens and pre-teens;

● Family movie matinee of the 1961 version of “The Parent Trap” at noon on May 11 with popcorn provided;

● Adult only Scrabble Hour at 3 p.m. on May 13;

● Evening book club discussion at 6 p.m. on May 16 on Nicholas Kristof’s book, “Half the Sky”;

● Pre-Memorial Day book sale during open library hours from May 18 to 24, where hard cover books are $1 and paperbacks are 50 cents; and

● Teen movie night from 4 to 7 p.m. on May 30 featuring the film “Beautiful Creatures,” based on the book by Kami Garcia. Teens ages 13 and older are welcome, and popcorn and snacks will be provided.
