Let's dress up and sing

Local resident wants to stay connected

REED CITY -- Residents are invited to join together to "dress up and sing" at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 17.

Louise Devendorf, who lives in Reed City, said she would like to see communities connect with one another during this unprecedented period of isolation due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"I just think it would be a nice thing to do," Devendorf said. "I'd like to get everybody connected again."

Devendorf has launched a community-wide "Dress up and Sing" event. On May 17, she would like to see everybody get dressed up nice, go into their front yard, and sing together. The song of choice - "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing."

"I would just like for us all to feel more connected," Devendorf said. "Bring your dogs, bring your pets, just get out and try to connect with one another through song. Not just in our community, but in every community around the area."
