MONTCALM COUNTY — Two men from LeRoy were involved in a three-car accident in Montcalm County on July 10, with one of those men sustaining injuries from the crash.

According to the Montcalm County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred at the corner of M-66 and M-57. LeRoy residents Mark Williams, 58, and his passenger, Rocky Lockhart, 55, were traveling northbound on M-66 in a Ford F-350 pulling a farm implement when Williams ran a red light at the intersection.

The pickup struck a Volkswagon Jetta traveling westbound on M-57, driven by 35-year-old Ashley Nielsen. The two vehicles collided into a semi truck which was facing southbound and stopped at the intersection waiting to turn onto M-57.

Nielsen was transported to Sheridan Community Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, and Lockhart was taken to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids by Aero-Med for his injuries.
