LEROY — It was a hot day but a happy one in LeRoy Friday and Saturday when the annual Razzasque Days was in full swing. Friday was especially busy for children. There was a little prince and princess selected to ride on a special float in the children’s parade, as well as the big parade on Saturday. Both days had vendors throughout the downtown area, lots of games and prizes, ballgames, and other action.

The competition for Miss LeRoy 2011 found Stephanie Witherspoon selected, and Makayla Damon, first runner-up. Stephanie said she was honored, and will be part of other parades in the area, along with the Christmas activities. A senior at Pine River High School, she plans to study computer science following graduation.

Business was good in town, with a car show and many other activities drawing not only area residents but also many others to LeRoy for an annual visit or to hold family reunions to coincide with Razzasque Days.
