Lake-Osceola State Bank welcomes Terry Gerber

OSCEOLA COUNTY — Lake-Osceola State Bank is happy to welcome Terry Gerber to the Board of Directors. Terry is a life-time resident of Reed City and is well respected in the community. His experience in the field of construction began at the age of 14 when he started working for his father Russell Gerber. After graduating from Reed City High School, Terry attended Ferris State University and the University of Michigan. Through all of his education one thing remained constant and that was his passion for construction.

Terry became president of Gerber Construction in 2002 after his father retired and since has enjoyed a fairly successful career. He believes his success is thanks to the hard working employees that make up the company. He also is grateful to his daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Bill Terryn, who he says, “have enabled the company to progress with their fresh and innovative ideas.”

Along with Terry’s parents Russell and Avis Gerber, he also has a sister Debbie and three brothers, Gary, Steve and Kirk. Terry is married to Holly, who is recently semi-retired as co-owner of the Anderson Agency in Reed City. Together they are the very proud and loving parents of Heidi, Jill, Chad and Jamie. Terry and Holly also have two beautiful granddaughters, Casey and Malley.

With as much time and effort it takes to run a growing business, Terry has made an honest and true effort to be involved in the community and its surrounding areas. He has served on the Osceola Community Foundation, the St. Paul Lutheran Church Board, the Local Home Builder Association Board and as supervisor for Richmond Township.

Lake-Osceola is looking forward to the expertise and knowledge that Terry has of the market areas and community as he serves as a board member.
