While investigating,\u00a0officers located\u00a0drug\u00a0paraphernalia. Officers seized the found items and the child was determined to be at a different location. The\u00a0officer explained the\u00a0department\u00a0had not taken any such report on her and that she did not need to be concerned at this time. \u2022 Officers arrested a 52-year-old man\u00a0on charges of\u00a0operating\u00a0under the\u00a0influence of\u00a0alcohol. He was transported to the Osceola County Jail, where he was lodged without incident. The employee had been shoveling the snow in the parking lot and when he stepped backward,\u00a0his back was struck slightly by a snowmobile trailer. The 23-year-old employee insisted he was just a little sore and refused medical attention. The video coverage of the parking lot was reviewed and it is believed that the driver was unaware of the incident and continued on his way. \u2022 While on foot patrol, officers found an unsecured door\u00a0at\u00a0a local business. The building was searched. Finding nothing out of the norm, the key holder was contacted and the door secured. Jan. 2 \u2022 Officers responded to the local motel regarding a larceny complaint. The matter is under investigation. Jan. 3 \u2022 Officers were dispatched to a business parking lot regarding a personal property damage accident. Two vehicles were backing out at the same time and struck each others' rear bumpers. No injuries were reported. \u2022 Officers responded to a personal property damage accident. The driver, a\u00a063-year-old\u00a0man, attempted to make a right turn from the left turn lane, causing a\u00a0second\u00a0vehicle to take evasive action and leave\u00a0the roadway, striking a parked car and fence. A citation\u00a0for careless driving\u00a0was issued to the driver\u00a0who\u00a0caused the accident. Jan. 4 \u2022 Officers arrested a 41-year-old man\u00a0who had a warrant out of Osceola County Friend of the Court for\u00a0child\u00a0neglect. He was transported to the Osceola County Jail, where he was lodged without incident. \u2022 Officers were dispatched to respond to a 911 open line call in which no one was speaking into the phone. Central Dispatch could, however, hear two men in the background who sounded to be intoxicated and mentioned having a fist fight. No one would answer the door when\u00a0officers arrived. The male\u00a0who\u00a0answered the phone when dispatch called back refused to answer the door. Jan. 5 \u2022 A 32-year-old man\u00a0was arrested on charges of\u00a0driving with a suspended license - third offense. He also was issued a citation for an expired registration plate and no proof of\u00a0insurance. He was transported to the Osceola County Jail, where he was lodged without incident. Jan. 6 \u2022 A 27-year-old\u00a0woman\u00a0was taken into custody on a criminal bench warrant for contempt of court\u00a0from\u00a0charges of\u00a0truancy\u00a0regarding\u00a0her children. She was transported to the Osceola County Jail, where she was lodged without incident.
