Kettunen Center hosts 5K race

TUSTIN – Runners are invited to travel over the hills, through the trees and across the lakeshore during the Kettunen Center’s Green 5K race on Aug. 11.

Registration for the second annual event will begin at 8 a.m. at the Kettunen Center, located at 14901 4-H Drive in Tustin. The race will start at 9 a.m.

Medals will be given to the top three runners in each age group and a trophy for overall fastest male and female runner and fastest “Master” runner.

The race costs $15 for those who register before Aug. 8, and $20 from Aug. 8 until the day of the race. The first 50 runners registered will receive a T-shirt.

The Kettunen Center is a 160-acre camp on Center Lake offering team building and environmental learning programs. All proceeds from the Green 5K race will help offset the cost for school groups, youth groups and campers.
