EVART — Hundreds of area residents converged on the city of Evart on Wednesday and Thursday to celebrate Independence Day and watch the traditional fireworks show hosted at the Osceola County 4H-FFA Fairgrounds, enjoy the parade traveling down Main Street and take part in the Party in the Park at Riverside Park.

Although rain began pouring in the early evening on Wednesday, the dreary weather ended in time to the show to commence and light up the sky with an array of colors and shapes. Attendees of all ages enjoyed the event tucked under the grandstand or lounging in their lawn chairs.

On Thursday, people lined Main Street to see a variety of floats and county organizations pass them by before traveling to Riverside Park for food and fun for this year’s Fourth of July.
