Johnson takes oath at Capitol ceremony
State Rep. Joel Johnson, at right, took the ceremonial oath of office as state representative for the 97th House District in the 97th Michigan Legislature on Jan. 9. Lt. Gov. Brian Calley administered the ceremonial oath in the state Capitol in Lansing. Johnson serves the people of Arenac, Clare, Gladwin and the east half of Osceola counties. Johnson’s wife, Dawn, their son Clayton Johnson, nephew Darick Tack with his wife Christy and son Joel, took part in the ceremony.
