Homecoming unites Pine River community

LEROY — Although rain took place on the biggest day of homecoming week, the thrill of the celebration kept staff and students feeling positive.

Throughout last week, staff and students participated in spirit days, followed by a Friday assembly and parade through the streets of Tustin. Each event was designed to create excitement and school pride.

The Bucks triumphed over the Evart Wildcats during the homecoming football game with a 16-6 win. During the game's festivities, Gregory Park and Natalie Murrey were crowned king and queen, senior athletes and band members were recognized and donations were collected to benefit the local VFW and Wounded Warrior Project. In addition, both school marching bands performed a collaborative piece to honor local veterans.
