Holiday wish trees offer chance to grant patient wishes
REED CITY — Local residents have the opportunity to grant a wish from one of the patients at Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital this year.
Reed City Hospital’s Holiday Wish Tree program is available onsite or online, and it provides direct impact on the care and comfort of patients and families.
A Nintendo Wii for the elders in long term care, wigs, gas cards or special radiation therapy gowns for those battling cancer may not be on your holiday shopping list, but for patients at Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital those items could make all the difference in the world.
Holiday Wish Trees are currently located inside the Spectrum Health Reed City Family Practice lobby, Rehab and Nursing Center and the Susan P. Wheatlake Regional Cancer Center.
The trees are donned with envelopes that contain information about a specific need and instructions for how to help meet that need. If you can’t visit a tree in person to grant a wish, you can see a list of items and donate online by visiting give.spectrumhealth.org/reed-city or calling (231) 832-6659.
