REED CITY — Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mark Schauer will greet Osceola County voters today in Reed City.

Schauer will arrive at 11:30 a.m. for an hour-long visit at the Reed City Depot, located at 200. N. Chestnut St. near downtown Reed City. He plans to discuss his jobs plan with Osceola County voters, according to a press release.

Following his visit in Reed City, Schauer will continue on to Lake City, where he'll discuss his jobs plan again with Missaukee County voters at Amy Jo’s Barley and Bush, 113 S. Main St. That stop is scheduled for 2 to 2:45 p.m.

Schauer, of Battle Creek, was a U.S. Representative for Michigan's 7th congressional district from 2009 to 2011. He also previously served as a member of the Michigan Senate, where he was the Minority Leader, and the Michigan House of Representatives.
