OSCEOLA COUNTY — All systems are go for a genealogy group from this area to travel to Utah a few months from now, but first a word from their sponsor.

Well, that’s not exactly accurate. It’s not their sponsor who will be speaking, but rather Geri Kienitz Johnson, a member of the Osceola County Genealogical Society this coming Saturday at the Evart Public Library.

Geri has traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah in the past and will be leading a group from this area to the famed keeper of the records for genealogists everywhere, the LDS Family History Library located there.

Plans call for those wishing to go on the trip to start planning for autumn, 2012.

Geri will share her own experiences, along with ideas on how to prepare, what to take along, and what to expect and do once they get there.

Tentative plans call for the group to fly out and stay at a hotel located right across from the LDS Library.

There is still room for those wishing to go along.

That meeting is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, in the museum located at the Evart Library.
