REED CITY — If you’re into genealogy research, especially if you’re digging through information regarding your Irish ancestors, you just might want to attend the upcoming genealogical society meeting.

Maureen Doyle Nelson will be the speaker at the 10 a.m. meeting this Saturday at the Old Rugged Cross Museum in Reed City.

The Osceola County Genealogical Society is back in action, and you’re invited.

Not only will Doyle talk about how to hunt those elusive Irish relatives, apparently as quick as leprechauns when it comes to not wanting to be discovered, but she will also share her ideas for searching for Catholic families.

The latter will be a general overview in such research, as well as provide a real focus on researching in Green Township of Mecosta County as a nearby example for those who have or had family there.
