Genealogical society to host 'Caring for Headstone' presentations

REED CITY — The Osceola County Genealogical Society is hosting a “Caring for Headstones” presentation at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 8, at the the Reed City Depot, located on Chestnut Street in Reed City.

Mark Wilson, of Evart, will speak on how to care for headstones. His presentation will be about 30 minutes long. Wilson also will answer questions following his presentation.

Geri Johnson, co-president of the Osceola County Genealogical Society, will then do a presentation on headstone symbolism. Johnson's presentation will focus on the different symbols represented on headstones.
