G.T. Norman hosts night of science

REED CITY – From exploding bottles to balancing sticks, students at G.T. Norman Elementary explored science in a fun way at the school’s Family Science Night last Thursday.

A static electricity ball, oxygen pump, puzzles and other hands-on learning aids were available for students

to interact with and learn about science at the same time. The Ferris State University Card Wildlife Center displayed animal furs and hides to teach students about animal science and teachers hosted science-based crafts, games and activities.

Families were given a free dinner of pizza and salad and each student left with a book. The night was funded by grants and donations.
