Funeral arrangements set for Evart woman killed in car accident on Thursday

OSCEOLA COUNTY — Funeral arrangements have been made for an Evart woman killed in a car accident on Thursday.

Darcy Lynn Gray, 24, of Evart, was killed when her vehicle was struck by another vehicle driven by a Chase resident, whose name has not been released pending investigation.

Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies were called at 6:40 a.m. to the scene near the intersection of U.S. 10 and 100th Avenue, where they found the Chase resident had crossed the centerline and struck Gray’s vehicle. Traveling too fast for road conditions is suspected to be a factor in the crash.

Gray, a 2006 graduate of Evart High School and a student at Ferris State University, leaves behind an infant son.

Funeral services for Gray will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012, at the Evart Free Methodist Church, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. until time of services. Memorial contributions may be directed to an account set up for Gray’s son at Citizens Bank in Evart. A full obituary appears online here.
