Former employees accused of stealing lottery tickets from Reed City supermarket
REED CITY — One of the three former employees accused of stealing lottery tickets from a Reed City grocery store has been arraigned on charges.
Cheryl Wolverton, 36, of Hersey, was arraigned Thursday on two charges of larceny in a building.
The charges accuse Wolverton of taking lottery tickets from her previous place of employment, Vic’s Supermarket in Reed City.
Wolverton along with two others are believed to have been involved in the scam, which was investigated by the Reed City Police Department. However, the two co-defendants have not yet been charged.
A preliminary examination for Wolverton is set for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14, in Osceola County’s 77th District Court.
