Living nativity walk set for Dec. 6-9 at Center Lake Bible Camp

TUSTIN – The recent snowfall came just in time to complete the Christmas look and atmosphere of “Follow the Star,” the annual living nativity walk hosted by Center Lake Bible Camp in Tustin. In early December last year, more than 1,500 visitors from all parts of Michigan and neighboring states came to the scenic wooded grounds of the 120-acre lakeside location to follow the route to Bethlehem. They joined the shepherds of the field and witnessed the angel appear on the hillside to proclaim the good news of the birth of the Savior. These and other scenes will be brought to life again as staff and volunteers recreate events of Christmas night for the 14th year. Area residents are invited to walk with a narrator past six inspiring tableaux depicting key moments of the historic night. See costumed actors and live animals in a dramatic outdoor setting during a 30-minute walk that will take you back in time to the wonder and awe of the first Christmas. If the walk may be too strenuous or if you bring babies or toddlers, travel the trail and view the scenes from the comfort of a wagon. After the walk, have a meal and warm up in the camp lodge where there are fun activities for the children. The entire program, including the meal, is free of charge. Donations are accepted. Get a group together for an enjoyable and inspirational evening–bring your family, friends and neighbors to “Follow the Star” on Dec. 7, 8 and 9 from 6 - 8:30 p.m. Center Lake Bible Camp and Retreat Center is at 15204 20 Mile Road, Tustin.
