Flea market returns for weekend steals and deals
EVART — Bargain shoppers and those looking for a unique item might find exactly what they are looking for at the seventh annual Evart Flea Market, which takes place this weekend.
The annual flea market, hosted by the Evart Chamber of Commerce, will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, May 23, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, at the Evart Municipal Airport industrial park, located on U.S. 10. Parking and admission are free of charge and the market will occur rain or shine.
"The flea market gives you something to do and it's a chance to socialize," said event volunteer Donna Willis. "It's a fun day and a fun time for all."
Apart from vendors selling their gently used items, homemade products will be available, Willis said. Retailers from the region can be seen selling plants, knit items, jewelry, home goods and more.
"We've had anywhere from 70 to 108 vendors in the past," Willis added. "Right now we're at about 60 vendors, but we usually get more during the week before the event."
The cost for all vendors is $20 per booth, which includes both days of the event. For more information, call Kathy Britz at (231) 499-4120 or Donna Willis at (231) 734-2023.
