TUSTIN — Multiple fire departments in Osceola County responded to a house fire just outside the Tustin village limits on 20 Mile Road on Friday.

First responders received a call at about 2:20 p.m., according to Tustin Fire Chief Bob Rose. The lone occupant of the home, a man, was able to escape the house without injuries, but Rose did not know the homeowner's name, as the individual left the scene shortly after responders arrived.

The blaze is under investigation, as it is unknown where or how the fire began, Rose added. The house is a total loss.

Assisting at the scene included Osceola County Emergency Medical Services and fire departments from Marion, Lincoln Township, Reed City and LeRoy-Rose Lake.
