Farm Bureau announces 2011 scholarship winners
OSCEOLA COUNTY - The Osceola County Farm Bureau has announced the winners of its 2011 college scholarships. Five local students are honored for their academic excellence: Crista Crawford, Kaitlyn Eisenga, Jessica Miller, Shannon Holmquist and Steven Ruppert.
Crista Crawford is the daughter of Raymond and Carla Crawford of Evart. She just completed her first year at Michigan State University in the veterinary medicine program. Crista would like to a large animal vet.
Kaitlyn Eisenga is the daughter of Dick and Beth Eisenga of Marion. She is attending MSU’s dairy management program and will be transferring to the animal science program in the fall. She just completed her second year of college.
Shannon Holmquist is the daughter of Leon and Karen Holmquist of Tustin. She is a 2011 graduate of Pine River High School. Shannon will either attend Ferris State University or Central Michigan University. She is seeking a degree in Apparel Merchandising and Design.
Jessica Miller is the daughter of Kevin and Denise Miller of Marion. She is a 2011 graduate of Marion High School. Jessica plans to attend Mid-Michigan Community College to earn a degree in nursing.
Steven Ruppert is the son of Leonard and Carrolin Ruppert of Reed City. He is a 2011 graduate of Reed City High School. Steven will either attend Muskegon Community College or Central Michigan University to pursue an electrical engineering degree.
We congratulate these scholarship winners and wish them success with their future endeavors. This is the 17th year the Osceola County Farm Bureau has awarded scholarship to local college students.
