Explosion at Osceola County home injures one
ROSE LAKE TWP. — A man was injured Wednesday when he attempted to light a hot water heater, causing an explosion at an Osceola County home.
Around 10:30 p.m., Osceola County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a 911 hang up at an address in Rose Lake Township.
When deputies arrived at the address they saw numerous windows blown out and a door several yards away from the home. Inside the residence deputies located a male covered with blood. Deputies learned the man was attempting to light a hot water heater when the explosion occurred. He was transported to Reed City Spectrum Health Hospital for treatment of injuries and was later released.
LeRoy Fire and Rescue along with the Osceola County EMS assisted the sheriff’s office at the scene.
