REED CITY — It’s the holiday season and Reed City is ready to get into the festive spirit.

The parade will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26, with staging beginning at 5:15 p.m. This year’s theme will is based on the popular film, The Polar Express. 

The lighted-parade is scheduled to start at Reed City High School, then travel west on Church Street, north on Sears then east on Upton Avenue to end at the Reed City Depot.

After the parade, folks are encourage to stick around and watch the tree lighting ceremony at the Depot. There will also be cookies, Christmas caroling, and children will have a chance to meet Santa, Mrs. Claus and all of their elves.

The holiday fun will continue Saturday, Nov. 27 as the Reed City Chamber of Commerce hosts a Santa Social event. 

The event will run from 10 a.m. to noon at the Reed City Depot. This will give children an opportunity to meet Santa and pass along their Christmas wishlists.
