Evart man charged in meth investigation

CLARE COUNTY — An Evart man and two others have been charged with methamphetamine-related crimes in Clare County.

Detectives from the Clare County Sheriff’s Office and Bay Area Narcotics Enforcement Team executed a search warrant on March 28 at a residence located in Play Land Subdivision in Clare County’s Garfield Township.

Investigation revealed that the individuals from the residence possessed and were selling methamphetamine that was was made at a separate location in Osceola County.Detectives seized methamphetamine and marijuana from the home, and arrested three people.

Mark Wible, 48, of Evart, was arrested and lodged at Clare County Jail. He was charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison. His bond was set at $30,000.

William Murdock, 42, of Lake, was charged with one count of operating and maintaining a methamphetamine lab, one count of possession of methamphetamine, and one count of maintaining a drug house. His bond was set at $150,000 and he remains in the Clare County Jail.

Cheryl Murdock, 44, also of Lake, was charged with the same offenses. Her bond was set at $100,000 and she also remains lodged in the Clare County Jail.
