EVART — Winter skating is now here. The Evart ice skating rink is now open next to the skate park on River Street.
The Evart department of public works installed the ice rink last week and it was opened for skating on Monday according to a post on the department of public works Facebook page.
“Thank you to the DPW crew - Dustin Moma, Dale Martin and Mike Flachs, and the Chief of Police John Beam for making this happen,” a post on the Evart News and Happenings Facebook post said.
for more information visit the Evart News and Happenings Facebook page, or the DPW Facebook page, or call 231-734-2181.

• Skating is done at your own risk
• Protective equipment such as helmets and pads are strongly recommended
• No glass or bottles are allowed
• Please keep the park area clean – put trash in the receptacles
• Spectators must stay off the skating surface
• The park is an alcohol and drug free zone
