EVART – The fourth annual Evart Chamber of Commerce flea market will be open to the public May 25 and 26 at the Evart Air Industrial Park.

More than 80 vendors will be set up from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Community members, out-of-towners and those who just happen to be driving by on U.S. 10 are invited to browse and purchase a large selection of trinkets, knick knacks and that perfect present you just can’t find anywhere else.

“There will be toys, games, farm equipment and a lot of other items,” said Bill Britz, event organizer.

The event is sponsored by the Evart Chamber of Commerce. and planners are expecting thousands of individuals to fill the outdoor market place over the course of the two-day sale.

After holding the event last year Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, the chamber switched the days of the event to Friday and Saturday in hopes of drawing a larger crowd, Britz said.

The signature summer kick-off event also will include an expansive parking area marked off close to the shopping action.

Organizers welcome any vendors interested in selling their items for a fee of $20 per booth for both days. New vendors are welcome to register up until the day of the event and sell anything of their choice.

“From kids clothes to diamonds in the rough, (bring) whatever you can find,” Britz said. “We have 20 by 60 ft. lots, which gives (vendors) plenty of room.”

The event will also include snacks and cold drink vendors to keep shoppers hydrated and well-fed while they browse.

All proceeds raised from vendor fees at the event will go towards the Evart fireworks.
