Evart celebrates Independence Day

The annual Independence Day Parade in Evart really demonstrated not only the community’s spirit on this national holiday, but the parade participants’ perseverance and dedication to purpose.

It was hot!

Still, in the best traditions of Smalltown U.S.A., the town turned out to either take part, or cheer on those marching past.

There were bands and banners, tractors and trucks, politicians and political hopefuls, and much, much more.

The Evart Parade is certainly one of the biggest and longest in west central Michigan.

After a long haul down Main Street, the parade came to an end and everyone headed to the Party In The Park.

It’s been said before, and hopefully it will be repeated many times in the future ...

A great time was had by all!
