Communities across the United States spent Tuesday, Aug. 7, celebrating National Night Out, an event which started as a program aimed at strengthening the bond between law enforcement officers and the communities they serve. Evart families visited Riverside Park during the 12th annual National Night Out in the area, where they could spend the evening learning about the Evart Area Fire Department, Evart Police Department, Community Emergency Response Team and more. At one of the many booths, Xavier Blossey (left) and Kayden Forbes learned about some of the different equipment Mike Rinehart (right) and others use as part of the Community Emergency Response Team.
